Judging

At EVERY competition there is an obligation for competing clubs to provide a number of qualified judges, the number required is proportional to the number of club competitors entering. For every 3 competitors we must supply a judge/official. You do not need to be a coach to be able to judge, just be willing to represent the club. Without qualified judges, we cannot take part in trampolining competitions.

There are four domestic trampoline judging levels:

Club and County Judges

Club Judge (regional competitions)

County Judge (national competitions)

Eligibility:

Anyone over the age of 14 years old. Candidates should ideally have a background knowledge of competitions and the roles involved.

What to expect:

As a Club Judge, you will be expected to understand the basic rules of competition, how to calculate scores, judge exercises for horizontal displacement and execution (up to 7.0 difficulty). To complete your judge award for this cycle, you will need to complete a direct assessment.

How will I be assessed:

You will be assessed by completed an online assessment. You will be required to:

Judge 10 execution exercises and submit your deductions for each element. (60% Pass rate)
Complete a multiple-choice theory questions, comprising of 16 questions. (60% Pass rate)

**A direct assessment means that you can enrol when you are ready to take your assessment.

There is no course material provided, you can complete some self-directed learning, or attend a regionally organised course, before enrolling onto the assessment.

County Judge (national competitions)

Eligibility:

Existing Club Judges who would like to progress to Trampoline County Judge. Learners must be at least 14 years old.

What to expect:

As a County Judge, you will be expected to act both as a trampoline execution judge and as difficulty judge up to a maximum difficultly per exercise of 7. To complete your judge award for this cycle, you will need to complete a direct assessment.

How will I be assessed:

You will be assessed by completed an online assessment. You will be required to judge:

10 execution exercises and submit your deductions for each element.
10 difficulty exercises and submit the notation and value for each element.
Complete a multiple-choice theory questions, comprising of 16 questions.

** A direct assessment means that you can enrol when you are ready to take your assessment.
